Vita Foundation Golf Challenge raises $52,000 for Act for Kids
On Thursday, 8 October at St Lucia Golf Links, Vita Group and Act For Kids were joined by valued partners and event sponsors including: REST, Hudson Recruitment, Vanguard Protex Global, OMD, PMG, Ultraceuticals, Interior Fitouts Pty Ltd, DMK Australia, Grant Thornton, Marsh Pty Ltd, Blue Ant, Brightstar, Datacom and Auto & General, as well as Vita Group brands Artisan Aesthetic Clinics, Sprout and Vita Enterprise Solutions.
After teeing-off in Ambrose groups of four, the teams donated for the privilege to enter challenges including chip for charity, nearest to the pin, longest drive and even ‘marshmallow golf’! Raffles tickets were also in hot demand on the day with Vita CEO Maxine Horne travelling the 18 holes in a golf buggy to sell raffle tickets, talk about Act For Kids and encourage further donations.
Vita Foundation Committee Chair, Rebecca McLeod was impressed with the sponsors’ dedication to the cause, despite the challenges of 2020.

Since partnering with Act for Kids five years ago, the Vita Foundation has helped protect thousands of Australian children through Act for Kids’ Learn to be safe with Emmy & friends school-based educational program.
Chief Executive Officer at Act for Kids, Dr Katrina Lines said the money raised will be go towards expanding the program into more schools to help educate children on how to identify when they don’t feel safe and know safe adults they can to turn to for help.
“We are so grateful for the continued support from the Vita Foundation. They have been instrumental in Act for Kids being able to take our school-based Learn to be safe with Emmy & friends program nationwide. With the money raised through the Golf Challenge, we’ll be able to further widen our reach as we strive to ensure all kids have a safe and happy childhood, free from abuse and neglect.”
