SQDAthletica is redefining men's activewear
In late 2016, Vita decided to make a move into a new category. After extensive market research, we identified a gap in the market that was distinctly under-valued and not catered to: men’s health and fitness. Hence the birth of SQDAthletica, an athletic lifestyle brand solely for men.
Beginning with two retail stores and a pop-up store in Queensland, and an online presence, we set out to inspire men to find balance, refine their style and get fit for life, through delivering high quality apparel and health and fitness experiences.
“We’re so much more than just an apparel brand,” said SQDAthletica General Manager of Operations Ben Falvey. “SQDAthletica’s all about bringing men together in a space where they can, yes, shop but also hang out, take part in free fit sessions, or just have a beer or coffee with their mates. It’s about creating a space where they connect with each other while keeping fit and active.
“While only a year old, we’re pleased to see SQDAthletica building a strong following,” he continued. “In the past twelve months, we’ve seen more than 135,000 guys walk through our doors or visit our website.”
This is in addition to nearly 9,000 Aussie men engaging with the brand on social media, supported by our ten brand ambassadors, who have also been spreading the word to their communities of more than 200,000 people combined.
SQDAthletica is also celebrating a strong Christmas trade, with record year-on-year growth of more than 70 per cent, a 60 per cent increase in the number of transactions, and a 106 per cent increase in the number of units sold.
Momentum is building and as we continue to leverage our proven track record in providing exceptional customer experiences, we expect to see SQDAthletica achieving great results in 2018.
