Vita Foundation raises $37k in its inaugural Golf Challenge

Read about Vita Foundation's latest fundraising for Act for Kids.

More than 700 kids across Australia will benefit from the Vita Foundation’s inaugural Golf Challenge, where the foundation and its loyal supporters raised funds for Act for Kids, and had a great time along the way – in true Vita style!

On Thursday 16 June, Vita Group’s philanthropic arm, the Vita Foundation, teed off at St Lucia Golf Links with 90 players from the Vita Group and its valued partners. Fun on the day included Hole in One, Fastest Drive, Longest Drive and mini-golf with kids’ clubs, to remind the team that they were raising money for a good cause.

The aim was to raise money for Act for Kids, which will put the funding towards its Learn to Be Safe with Emmy and Friends program – a protective behaviours program aimed at five year olds in schools across Australia.

Vita Group CEO, Maxine Horne, who was at the Golf Challenge cheering on the teams and selling raffle tickets, said “We’re very proud to support Act for Kids and the work they do. Joining forces with our amazing partners and Act for Kids, the Vita team hit a hole in one with this event. Thanks to our partners for getting on board and donating their time and money. Great team work for a worthy cause!”

Act for Kids CEO, Neil Carrington, said, “We’re so grateful for the support of the Vita Foundation – we have a great relationship with these guys and this golf challenge is one example of the great things we’re achieving. Thank you to Vita and all of your wonderful partners for your support. You’re helping us to change kids’ lives.”
