Vita Foundation announce hero charity: Act For Kids.
Today, the Vita Foundation announced its hero charity: Act For Kids.
Vita Group CEO, Maxine Horne and Act For Kids CEO, Dr Neil Carrington, launched the program to Vita’s 1600 team members throughout Australia, with a live video feed and plenty of fun in more than 160 Vita points of presence throughout Australia.
About the Vita Foundation
The Vita Foundation is Vita Group’s newly created philanthropic arm, and its vision is to make a difference to those who need it most in our communities. The Foundation’s role is to raise funds and awareness for a wide range of charities throughout Australia. It’s part of Vita’s commitment to our local communities.
About the Hero Charity – Act For Kids
The Vita team also wanted to get behind one charity in a meaningful way – a hero charity. Act For Kids was selected following feedback from the Vita team, who said that they felt strongly about supporting the areas of children and mental health. Act For Kids focuses on keeping Australian children safe from child abuse and neglect. They do great work already, but to date have not been able to achieve a national profile. With the Vita Foundation’s support, the Act For Kids team will roll out their Learn to Be Safe With Emmy and Friends program across Australia. The program is focused on providing education to prep and year 1 children in Australian schools to help them to learn about staying safe.
Vita Group CEO said, “We’re really excited about this step for the Vita Group and for Act For Kids – as together we know we can make a real difference to Aussie kids”. If you’d like to know more, or make a donation…head to http://www.actforkids.com.au
