Vita Foundation Golf Challenge hits record
The Vita Foundation well and truly hit its fundraising target for its second annual Golf Challenge.
The Vita Foundation has hit its fundraising target out of the park during its second annual Golf Challenge, raising $50,000 for hero charity, Act for Kids.
Held on Thursday, 15 June at St Lucia Golf Links, 84 people from Vita Group and its valued partners teed off in the Challenge that included competitions for Hole in One, Fastest Drive, Longest Drive, and mini-golf with kids’ clubs.
The goal was to exceed last year’s exceptional fundraising efforts of $37,000, and thanks to the incredible support from Vita peeps and the Group’s valued partners, this goal was well and truly achieved.
“I’m blown away by the generosity shown by Vita and our amazing partners,” said Vita Group CEO, Maxine Horne, who was again on hand at the Golf Challenge, garnering support and selling raffle tickets. “Act for Kids play an important role in our community in protecting and advocating for young children, so being able to support them in such a meaningful way, fills me, and I’m sure the whole team at Vita, with a great sense of pride.”
The $50,000 raised will go towards Act for Kids’ Learn to be safe with Emmy and friends program, a protective behaviours program aimed at five year olds in schools across Australia.
Act for Kids CEO Dr Neil Carrington said he was incredibly humbled by the efforts of Vita, their partners and all the players on the day.
“The Vita Foundation’s commitment to keeping kids safe is truly inspiring. We will be forever grateful for the support we received that has allowed us to take the Learn to be safe with Emmy & friends program national,” he said.
