Vita Foundation launches new fundraising campaign for Act for Kids

The Vita Foundation is excited to launch a new campaign for our hero charity, Act for Kids to help the worthwhile cause fund art therapy for abused and neglected children.
Throughout the month of February, we’re selling the charity’s Monster Crayons across the group, including in our Telstra branded stores, Telstra Business Centres, Vita Enterprise Solutions offices and our Support Centre.
Designed from actual drawings of monsters that children created whilst going through Act for Kids’ art therapy program, the four cute and colourful Monster Crayons are now being used to raise money to take away other children’s monsters.
“All proceeds from the sale of Monster Crayons in our stores will go towards helping Act for Kids fund their art therapy program, which provides children who have suffered from abuse and neglect with an outlet to share and come to terms with what they’ve been through,” said Vita Foundation Committee Chair, Scott Philipson.
“Thanks to Vita Foundation we will be able to provide vulnerable children with specialist therapy and treatment, enabling them to rebuild their lives after experiencing their own enormous physical and mental challenges,” said Neil Carrington, Chief Executive of Act for Kids.
One of many services that Act for Kids runs to help in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect, the art therapy classes are a unique way to open dialogue around the abuse or neglect children have suffered from. Through drawings, these children often open up about their experiences, which is important to their recovery.
Act for Kids is an Australian charity providing free therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of child abuse and neglect. Act for Kids operates 22 centres with a team of over 320 staff from Adelaide all the way up to the Cape York Peninsula.
Since partnering with Act for Kids around 18 months ago, the Vita Foundation has raised more than $230,000 in donations to help children in need.
Each Monster Crayons pack includes four crayons and is being sold for $10 with all proceeds will go to Act for Kids. Learn more.
